People subconsciously like to be lead, seduced. Masses don’t like to think for themselves! they want someone gives them the truth easily and take the responsibility off their shoulders !

@curlysheepishbas cont… I was trying to see if other people agreed with me on his humor (not intelligence) being overrated and possibly spark some debate. Unfortunately nearly all the debate that came from it was about logic and semantics. I guess youtube isn’t the best forum for these kind of things.

@ curlysheepishbas It annoys me when people regard Bill Hicks as one of the funniest comedians ever. I’d get equally annoyed if people said the Sex Pistols made the greatest music ever. While a great band and rebellious, their music in and of itself is not the best. You could say that it’s all opinion, but it’s a fact that some music is better than other music and some comedy is funnier than other comedy.

All I was saying …
All I was saying was that not all people who are rebellious are funny. You can definitely be both. I’ve never said otherwise. Before, when I said that Bill Hicks is more of a preacher and that I don’t think he is as funny as other comedians, DJCW responded that he talked about real subjects that affect people. Which I in turn said that being rebellious or topical doesn’t make a person funny. (proving DJCW wrong but not proving that Bill Hicks isn’t as funny as most people think)
